Hawaii Vacation 2011: The Oahu Trip

On this trip to Hawaii, we were fortunate enough to be able to fly on over to Oahu for a few days. And Oahu is a fun-filled island, where there's always something fun to do. On our first day we went to the Bishop Museum. There were tons of cool ancient Hawaiian artifacts, but most of all, Kairi enjoyed the dinosaur exhibit.
That night we went over to visit Chadd's cousin Leighton and his family. It was a great night with great food and family. Kairi also got to spend time with her distant cousin's Kana & Koa. Here's Kairi and Koa catching up. Worth noting, both Kana and Koa were perfect gentlemen with Kairi, especially since they're known as the brothers of destruction.
We also celebrated Mommy's 25th (+5) birthday!!!! So to make it special, we managed to find the only Italian restaurant on the whole island. Nah, I'm sure there's others.
On our last day on Oahu, Uncle Ryan was nice enough to drive us all the way across the island to Laie so we could see the Church Temple there.
And if you're going to go to Laie, then you just have to stop at the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was a short visit, but we made friends with many of the natives there.
There were so many other things we got to do, but unfortunately there's just not enough space for it all.

Hawaii Vacation 2011: Kristen & Danny's Wedding

So the Arakawa's have just returned from their fun filled trip to Hawaii. Part of the trip was to see, Chadd's younger cousin, Kristen get married to the love of her life, Danny. And Kairi was very excited and couldn't wait for the special day!
It was a wonderful and beautiful wedding ceremony. We were all glad to be there to see the lovely couple.

Kairi was also the happiest when she got to eat all the great local food. Here she is enjoying dinner with Mommy.

She also had to get a photo in with Daddy during the reception.

We really enjoyed getting to see Kristen and Danny's wedding. Thank you for thinking of us and letting us be a part of your special day!!

Playing Catch-up

We think she was just tired and needed something to lean against.

Kairi with her favorite friend of all, Mama!!!!

Here's little Kairi posing on the couch in her cute little dress.
On our way back home from church, Kairi was acting really grouchy and kept demanding more animal crackers. Well, after a little while, we noticed that she suddenly got very quiet. So by the time we got home, this is what we saw. Yes, she fell asleep with one cracker in her hand and another in her mouth.

Then, one night she got so tired that she crashed right on her pillow pet.

Apparently, she loves hanging in the laundry basket.

Kairi's new playhouse with her BFF Jake.

It's Been A Long Time!!

So it's been a long time since anything on this page has been updated. Needless to say, Kairi's been growing up fast and moving even faster! Here are some pictures of our little princess.

Christmas morning was sooo exciting for Kairi!

But what she really enjoyed, was her time spent with Santa Claus.

Just thought this was a cute picture.

One of the many attempts at a Christmas portrait.

Kairi playing on the beach, well the lake shore actually. Nowhere near as good as the beaches on Maui!

Trick or Treat!!!

Kairi had a fun filled Halloween this year with a lot of treats and a few tricks. Grandma Aileen came up to see her favorite granddaughter, well I guess her only granddaughter, but still the same. These two had a great time together and we'll have more pictures to follow. But here's some cute pics of Kairi in her Halloween costume.

Just The Baby!!

Here are just some quick pictures of Kairi. She's such a cute kid and loves to make people laugh.

Tuesday night, we had the Sister Missionaries over for dinner. Mommy made cupcakes for dessert and you can see what happened.

And just when we thought it couldn't get any worse, it did!

Someone's having way too much fun.

Mommy just couldn't resist putting the crazy wig on Kairi.
