Hawaii Vacation 2011: Maui No Ka Oi!!!

Just had to include a picture of the crazy Arakawa clan.
Kairi was able to meet a new friend on this trip. Kira and family came over for dinner. The two had a great time, especially playing and yelling in the hallway.
We also went to Kepaniwai Park for a fun walk through the cultural gardens. Kairi had a blast spending time with her Grandma and running away from her parents.
And what trip to Hawaii would be complete without a trip to the beach. Here's Kairi and Daddy playing in the water. Too bad this trip to the beach was a bust due to strong winds. But we all got to go swimming in Waikiki, which was a blast.
And no trip would also be complete without playtime with her best friend, Uncle Ryan. It's amazing how much she adores him, but then again, he is still a kid at heart.

Hawaii Vacation 2011: The Oahu Trip

On this trip to Hawaii, we were fortunate enough to be able to fly on over to Oahu for a few days. And Oahu is a fun-filled island, where there's always something fun to do. On our first day we went to the Bishop Museum. There were tons of cool ancient Hawaiian artifacts, but most of all, Kairi enjoyed the dinosaur exhibit.
That night we went over to visit Chadd's cousin Leighton and his family. It was a great night with great food and family. Kairi also got to spend time with her distant cousin's Kana & Koa. Here's Kairi and Koa catching up. Worth noting, both Kana and Koa were perfect gentlemen with Kairi, especially since they're known as the brothers of destruction.
We also celebrated Mommy's 25th (+5) birthday!!!! So to make it special, we managed to find the only Italian restaurant on the whole island. Nah, I'm sure there's others.
On our last day on Oahu, Uncle Ryan was nice enough to drive us all the way across the island to Laie so we could see the Church Temple there.
And if you're going to go to Laie, then you just have to stop at the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was a short visit, but we made friends with many of the natives there.
There were so many other things we got to do, but unfortunately there's just not enough space for it all.

Hawaii Vacation 2011: Kristen & Danny's Wedding

So the Arakawa's have just returned from their fun filled trip to Hawaii. Part of the trip was to see, Chadd's younger cousin, Kristen get married to the love of her life, Danny. And Kairi was very excited and couldn't wait for the special day!
It was a wonderful and beautiful wedding ceremony. We were all glad to be there to see the lovely couple.

Kairi was also the happiest when she got to eat all the great local food. Here she is enjoying dinner with Mommy.

She also had to get a photo in with Daddy during the reception.

We really enjoyed getting to see Kristen and Danny's wedding. Thank you for thinking of us and letting us be a part of your special day!!
